Dan Shlatz running 50 miles to raise $ for the PTO
Sep 26, 2020 @ 5:00 am - 3:00 pm
Daniel Shlatz is running another 50 mile course this time to benefit Webb PTO! If you haven’t visited his private page on FB yet, check it out! He has already raised $450 towards this cause!
As you may know back in May Dan ran 50 miles to benefit the Wethersfield Food Bank. Hoping that everything would be in the clear by September, the run he had scheduled in VT was canceled due to the same circumstances. Well he built up all the miles again and doesn’t want them to go to waste, so he thought why not complete the run one more time, this time benefiting the Wethersfield Webb School PTO.
Why the PTO?
- My kids go there
- The community is amazing
- Most of the events that the PTO puts together this year are going to be a lot harder to raise funds for so I figured after raising just over $3,000 last event that lets give it another shot!
The route will consist of 5 loops of just under 10 miles each starting each loop at his house. This leaves him a little short of 50 miles, so he will finish it off by running to Webb School and finishing right in the school parking lot which should put him just over 50 miles! He chose this route because it covers all of the Webb School community. The final route will be posted closer to the event.on Facebook as the event cover page
His personal goal is to exceed the funds raised for the Wethersfield Food Bank and your support will help us get there!
So how can you help?
- Donate of course! like last time, you can donate one of 3 ways, venmo, cash or check. Email the Webb PTO for specific information on how to donate.
- Share this with others in the Webb Community.
- Feel free to join him and run some miles!
The date will be Saturday, September 26th. He plans on starting at 5:00 am and his goal, like last time, is to complete in under 10 hours. The last run was just over 8 hours so it shouldn’t be a problem! A rain date is Sunday but rain is actually a good thing so most likely rain or shine.
